InviteTrip Inc. · Version 1.0 · Effective September 9, 2026
Our commitment
InviteTrip should be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of building the product, not as something added afterwards.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Where European requirements apply, we work to the equivalent provisions of the harmonized European standard EN 301 549, which incorporates WCAG at the same level.
We have chosen WCAG 2.2 rather than the older 2.1 because several of its additions matter for an application like ours, including clearer focus indicators, minimum target sizes, and alternatives to dragging.
Current status
Partially conformant. Most of the Service meets the standard above. Some parts do not yet, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise.
Known gaps we are working on:
- Some interface elements do not yet meet the minimum target size on small screens.
- Focus indicators are inconsistent in a small number of places.
- Some images uploaded by members have no descriptive alternative text, because members supply their own photographs and we cannot describe them reliably. Interface images and icons do carry alternative text.
- Video and voice calling is provided through a third-party component whose accessibility we do not fully control. We have raised this with the provider.
- Automatic captioning is not yet available for voice messages or calls.
This list is honest rather than exhaustive, and we update it as we find and fix things.
What we have done
- Semantic structure and landmarks so screen readers can navigate pages predictably.
- Keyboard access to interactive functions, including the swipe actions in the message list, which also work from a menu.
- Visible pressed and focus states on controls.
- Colors chosen and checked for contrast in both light and dark presentation.
- Text that resizes and reflows without loss of content.
- Forms with associated labels and error messages that are announced, not only shown in color.
- Motion kept modest, and reduced-motion preferences respected.
Legal position
European Union. The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) has applied since 28 June 2025. It contains an exemption for microenterprises providing services, meaning fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover or balance sheet total not exceeding EUR 2 million. InviteTrip Inc. currently meets that definition, so the Act's detailed requirements do not presently bind us. We are working to the standard anyway, because the exemption is temporary by design and because it is the right way to build the product. We reassess our status as the company grows.
United States. No federal regulation currently sets a specific technical standard for the websites of private companies under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. We work to WCAG 2.2 AA as the recognized benchmark.
Colorado. Our Colorado Safety Policy is published to be accessible in accordance with WCAG 2.1, as Colorado's online dating safety rules require.
Languages
The Service and our legal documents are available in every language in which we offer InviteTrip. Our policy documents are published in each of those languages.
Tell us about a problem
If you cannot use part of InviteTrip, or something works badly with your assistive technology, please tell us. It is the fastest way for us to find and fix real problems.
Please include the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Tell us what technology you use if you are comfortable doing so, since it helps us reproduce the problem.
We aim to acknowledge within 5 business days and to tell you what we plan to do and when. If you need information from the Service in an alternative format, ask and we will provide it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, write to us at the address in the Legal Notice marking it for the attention of the Chief Executive Officer.
Review
We review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make a significant change to the Service.
