InviteTrip Inc. · Version 1.0 · Effective September 9, 2026
Published under the Colorado Online Dating Safety Act, C.R.S. § 6-1-731.5. (Colorado has two separate dating statutes: § 6-1-731.5, which requires this safety policy, and the earlier § 6-1-731, which governs dating service contracts and fraud notices. Both are cited in this package and neither citation is a typographical error.) It applies to every InviteTrip member and is written for Colorado members in particular. Our general Safety Center covers the same ground in more detail, and our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines form part of this policy.
In short
- We do not run criminal background checks on anyone.
- We do verify identity documents, and we do check that members are 18 or older.
- You can report anyone, confidentially, and a person reviews every report.
- Sex without consent is against this policy and against the law.
- Colorado support resources are listed in section 9.
1. Prohibited content and conduct
The following are prohibited on InviteTrip.
Misconduct that threatens public or personal safety. This includes homicide, unlawful sexual behavior, assault, kidnapping, stalking, harassment, involuntary intoxication, robbery, theft, and any other conduct that threatens public safety or the safety of another person. It applies to conduct on the platform and to conduct at any meeting arranged through it.
Commercial sexual activity. Soliciting, offering, advertising, or arranging any exchange of sexual conduct for money, gifts, travel, accommodation, or anything else of value. Prohibited absolutely, and grounds for permanent removal.
Requests for money from other members. Asking another member for money, transfers, loans, financial details, cryptocurrency, or gift cards. InviteTrip provides no way to send money to another member, and arranging such a payment in connection with the platform is prohibited. No member is required or expected to pay for another member's trip, and how the costs of a shared trip are borne or divided is decided between the two members themselves. Where a member does pay for part or all of a shared trip, those costs are paid directly to hotels, airlines, restaurants, and similar businesses, never to another member.
Fraud and deception, including romance fraud, investment and cryptocurrency schemes, phishing, impersonation, false identities, misrepresenting age or circumstances, and photographs that are not of the member.
Harassment, threats, intimidation, hate speech, and abusive behavior.
Sexual content involving minors, and any sexualization of a minor.
Non-consensual intimate images, and publishing another person's private information without consent.
Commercial solicitation, advertising, recruitment, and spam.
Automated access, including scraping and bulk data collection.
2. Criminal background screening
InviteTrip does not conduct criminal background screenings on its members.
We do not check members against criminal record databases, sex offender registries, or family violence records. Because we do not conduct screenings, we do not exclude members on the basis of any criminal conviction, and there is no category of conviction that disqualifies a person from holding an account, because we have no way of knowing about it.
Members should not assume that any other member has been screened for a criminal record of any kind.
If we introduce criminal background screening in the future, we will amend this policy before we begin, and will state what is checked, which convictions lead to exclusion, how far back records are checked, and the limits of any such check.
3. Verification of identity and age
Identity. Verification is available to every member and is optional. A member who verifies submits a government-issued identity document together with a live photograph or video. A specialist verification provider checks that the document appears genuine, that the person is physically present rather than presenting a photograph or recording, and that the face matches the document. Members who pass carry a Verified mark on their profile.
Members who have not verified have restricted access to parts of the Service.
Age. InviteTrip is available only to people aged 18 or older. Every member states a date of birth at registration. For members who complete identity verification, date of birth is confirmed against the government document. Where we have reason to believe a member is under 18, we suspend the account immediately, require verification, and remove the account and its data if the belief is confirmed.
The Real mark. A profile may also carry a Real mark, which means that several verified members of the opposite role have separately and privately confirmed that they met that person in real life and had no safety concerns. It reflects other members' past experience. It is not a verification, a screening, or an assurance by InviteTrip about any person.
What verification does not do. Identity verification establishes who a person is. It does not establish that they are honest, that their intentions are good, or that they are safe to meet.
4. Suspension and barring
We suspend a profile while we investigate where a report alleges conduct threatening someone's safety; where evidence suggests fraud against members; where an account appears to have been taken over; where we need to confirm age or identity; and where a member has accumulated reports that together suggest a pattern.
We bar a member permanently for: any exchange, or attempted exchange, of sexual conduct for money, gifts, travel, or other value; any sexualization of a minor; any credible threat to a person's safety; sexual assault or violence, whether on the platform or at a meeting arranged through it; fraud or attempted fraud against members; and repeated serious violations after a warning.
We also bar members who create a new account to evade an earlier removal, and we take steps to detect and prevent re-registration.
Where we bar a member, we take no further action on any unused paid period except where a refund is required by law.
5. Appeals
Yes, there is an appeal process, and it is available for every suspension and every permanent removal.
To appeal, write to appeals@invitetrip.com from the email address on the account, stating what happened and why you believe the decision was wrong.
An appeal is reviewed by a person who was not responsible for the original decision. We aim to respond within 14 days. We will tell you the outcome and the reason for it. If an appeal succeeds, the account and its content are restored.
Appeals against removal for commercial sexual activity, for the sexualization of a minor, or for violence are reviewed on the same terms, but rarely succeed.
6. Notice to other members
Where we bar a member for suspected fraud against other members, we give actual notice to members who had been in contact with that person. The notice is sent by email and through the member's InviteTrip inbox, and it: identifies the barred account by its username or profile identifier; states that the person may have been using a false identity or may attempt to defraud other members; states that members should never send money or personal financial information to another member; and links to fraud-avoidance guidance. We send this notice promptly after the bar takes effect, and in any event within 24 hours of the bar being initiated, or within 3 days where the circumstances require more time.
Status note: this notice is currently prepared and sent by a member of our team. The automated path is being built. The notice itself is sent either way.
Types of conduct that trigger a notice: conduct indicating that a member has attempted, or poses a significant risk of attempting, to obtain money or financial information from other members by fraud or deception.
Where we do not routinely give notice. For other categories of removal we do not automatically notify every member who had contact with the removed account. Two reasons: a notice can identify the person who reported, which discourages reporting and can expose that person to retaliation; and where an allegation has not been established, a notice can cause serious and undeserved harm to the person accused.
The exception. Where we judge that a specific member faces a specific, serious risk, we contact that member directly, whatever the category. We would rather warn someone than protect a process.
7. Reporting guidelines
How to report. Any profile and any individual message can be reported from within the app. The report takes three steps: choose the category that fits, choose the specific detail, and add a comment if you want to. Report the individual message where the problem is something that was said, and the profile where the problem is the account itself.
What to include. Be specific. What happened, when, and where on the platform. Keep the messages rather than deleting them, so they are available if we need to review them.
Confidentiality. Reports are confidential. The person you report is not told that a report was made about them, and is never told who made it.
What happens. You receive an acknowledgment immediately. Every report is given an urgency level, and reports involving a threat to safety are escalated straight away rather than waiting in a queue. A person reviews every report. Automated systems sort and prioritize, but do not decide.
Please do not submit false reports. Do not report a member because you dislike them, because a conversation ended badly, because of their race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic, or for any other malicious, biased, or otherwise illegitimate reason. False and bad-faith reports are a violation of our Terms of Service. They consume review capacity that another member may urgently need, and they may result in action against your own account.
Emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services on 911 first. InviteTrip is not an emergency service and cannot send help.
8. Consent
Engaging in sexual conduct with another person without the other person's consent violates this safety policy, is against the law, and may result in criminal or civil liability.
Consent is specific, freely given by the person themselves, and can be withdrawn at any time. Nothing that happens on InviteTrip creates it. Matching does not. A long conversation does not. Accepting an invitation does not. Traveling together does not. Accepting a flight, a hotel room, a meal, or any other hospitality does not, and a member who has accepted hospitality owes nothing in return and remains free to decline anything at any point, including after previously agreeing to it.

10. Safety measures we operate
- Optional identity verification against a government document with a liveness check, with restricted functionality for unverified accounts.
- Age confirmed at registration and, for verified members, against a government document.
- The Real mark, based on private confirmations from verified members who met the person in real life.
- Automatic screening of profile text and photographs, with every uploaded photograph placed in a queue for human review.
- Two-layer message safety screening, including a prompt to the sender before a potentially harmful message is sent and a prompt to the recipient afterwards.
- Automatic transcription of voice messages so that speech is screened as text is.
- In-app video and voice calling, free for every member on every plan, so that a member can see and speak to someone before committing to travel without giving out a phone number. During the founding phase this is open to unverified members as well.
- Confidential three-step reporting of any profile or any individual message.
- Immediate blocking and unmatching, without explanation.
- Urgency triage, with threats to safety escalated directly rather than queued.
- Human review of every report and every enforcement decision.
- An appeal process for every suspension and removal, reviewed by someone not involved in the original decision.
- Notice to members who were in contact with an account barred for suspected fraud.
- Permanent removal for serious violations, with measures to detect attempts to return.
- Referral of serious matters to law enforcement, and preservation of relevant records.
- No mechanism for sending money between members, and a prohibition on arranging such payments.
- Safety guidance in the product and in our Safety Center, written for long-distance and travel meetings rather than local dates.
Scheduled trip check-ins with an alert to a trusted contact if a check-in is missed are in development and are not available yet. This policy will be updated when they are.
11. Accessibility, language, and format
This policy is written in plain language and avoids legal and technical jargon. It is published to be accessible to members with disabilities in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, is available in every language in which InviteTrip offers the Service, and is readable on desktop, mobile browsers, and in the app.
If you have difficulty accessing this policy in any format, write to us and we will provide it in another form.
